Classroom News

Welcome to Second Grade!  I have enjoyed meeting all of your children and I am looking forward to a great year.

School begins at 9:30 am on Late Start Mondays and at 8:40 am Tuesdays-Fridays.  Students need to be at school before the bell rings and may come on campus at 9:25 am Monday mornings and 8:35 am Tuesday-Friday mornings.  Students may hang up their backpack on the hooks outside the classroom door, but then they MUST line up on the two lines outside the classroom.  When the morning bell rings, they then need to WALK to the classroom and stand in line.

Students will be dismissed a little before 2:55 pm.   Please talk to your child about where you will meet him/her after school.  I have crosswalk duty after school so I will dismiss the students a few minutes early and they will walk on their own to the quad or blacktop area for pick up.

I have already purchased the basic school supplies needed by second graders, but we always need donations to replenish items throughout the year.  There is a supply list attached and will be sign ups at Back to School night if you would like to donate supplies.  Or you are welcome to bring them the first week of school or throughout the year.  This is of course voluntary and any type of donation is

appreciated.

Thanks! ~Mrs. Wooten

We also could use one time donations for Reading A-Z and supplies for special art activities.

Thank you!!
